- TZTehseen ZharaMar 24, 20261.0I would like to make a complaint about an experience in your Rochdale store on Tuesday evening shortly before closing time (around 7:40pm). As my sister and I were entering the store, three members of staff were moving a pallet of stock through the doorway. There was a clear gap which appeared safe to walk through, so I began to do so. One of the staff members then shouted at us, saying “guys, we’re trying to take something in here, can you just wait.” The tone was unnecessarily rude and came across as if we were being told off like children, which was quite uncomfortable and unprofessional. Shortly after this, another customer approached the entrance. A member of staff spoke to her in a noticeably more polite tone, asking her to move to the side and saying they didn’t want anything falling on anyone’s toes. The staff member then looked at me and my sister in a way that suggested we could come in as well, but did not communicate this clearly. This left the situation feeling inconsistent and awkward. I completely understand the need for staff to move stock safely, and I would have happily waited if this had been communicated politely. However, the way we were initially spoken to was not acceptable. I believe customers should be treated with courtesy and respect, and I hope this can be addressed with the staff involved.
